Chris Long, a native of Charlottesville and Virginia football alum, is making a generous donation in the name of helping students in his hometown. Long won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots last season and is playing for the Philadelphia Eagles this season. According to a press release issued Tuesday, the Chris Long Foundation announced Chris will donate his first six paychecks of the season to fund scholarships for two students in Charlottesville.
Long will be partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia and St. Anne’s Belfield School (Long’s former school) for the scholarships.
