Just when you thought you could have hope that UVa could pull off a miracle upset, Lamar Jackson stepped up and lofted a pass into the endzone to give the Cardinals a 32-25 lead with just 13 seconds left.
The Cavaliers fought the entire game and this is the kind of game UVa fans have been looking for. Inspired play for all four quarters against a legitimate opponent. In the end, two interceptions and some head scratching play calling gave the Hoos their 6th loss of the season.
At times, UVa’s QB Kurt Benkert showed flashes of greatness.
