The AP Poll has been released and for the first time since December 1982, the Virginia Cavaliers are the top-ranked team in the country. After a crazy week and weekend that saw approximately a billion of the top 25 teams lose, including a big Villanova loss to St. John’s, Virginia has overtaken Villanova for the top spot in the country, while the Wildcats fell to No. 3.
Michigan State vaulted to 2nd after defeating previously-No. 3 Purdue. The Boilermakers dropped two games last week to ranked teams (Ohio State being the other) and fell all the way down to No.
