ACC Basketball: Bouncing back from injuries

Injuries, at their worst, certainly have the capacity to make or break a season. At the same time, however, they give supporting players a chance to get a glimpse of what their roles might be next season.

The Tar Heels’ biggest issue last season may have been their lack of consistency. This problem could at least be partly attributable to Marcus Paige’s foot injury. Despite his ability to play through the injury for much of the season, his effectiveness still wasn’t at its peak. In conjunction with Paige’s troubled foot in January, Joel Berry (another key contributor) had a groin injury.
