Virginia Football kicks off its 2017 campaign at home against William & Mary on September 2nd. After last year’s opening loss to Richmond, certainly the Hoos know not to take FCS openers lightly, and the Tribe are a particularly familiar challenge to start the season. W&M played UVa very close in a 2015 loss (29-35) and walked out of Scott Stadium victorious in their previous matchup in 2009 (26-14). Let’s take a look at what Wahoo fans should expect from the 2017 team:
2016 Record: 5-6 (3-5 in the CAA)
The Tribe had a disappointing 2016 campaign, culminating in a losing record overall and in conference.
