Wildcats grit-and-grind win over Georgetown

Josh Hart led the Wildcats (16-2, 6-0) with 15 points and 12 rebounds, capitalizing on a cold-shooting, mistake-laden rival and surviving their own cold-shooting in the second half to eke out a 55-50 victory over Georgetown.

Josh Hart started the game off well for the Wildcats, stealing Georgetown’s opening possession and finishing the play with a slam-dunk to give the Cats the early lead. However, D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera would score the next five points, on his way to a 15 point, 4 rebound performance. Smith-Rivera’s offensive attack gave the Hoyas its largest lead of the game of three points.
