A super productive week for Villanova; they now have a comfortable 2.5 game lead in the conference.
The Wildcats outlasted a scare at home on Tuesday vs. Georgetown, but were able to put together a better team effort with a depleted bench at Xavier.
Butler had a close game of their own on Tuesday with a three point road win vs. Marquette, but fell to Providence on Saturday. That loss, combined with a Creighton win, means Xavier and Creighton are tied for second place, with Butler just a half game back of them.
Marquette has decided that after beating Villanova, the season is over and there is nothing left to accomplish.
