Happy Thursday, ‘Nova Nation! So last night was fun, and frankly did nothing to temper my expectations for this team. It was clear from the start that Jay Wright was trying to give his new pieces plenty of run to figure out what he had and didn’t roll with his best lineup for major minutes.
And Drexel is pretty bad. That must be said.
But honestly, I’m more than encouraged by what I saw. Some concerns - like outside shooting - remain for me. But I’m convinced this team can be very good on defense, and has the athletes to wreak a lot of havoc if they want to play more uptempo this year.
