Villanova takes down top-ranked Xavier in Big East opener

Ryan Arcidiacono has been playing within Villanova system for the last two seasons. He’s led the NCAA in assist-to-turnover ratio. He’s managed the prolific offense and stingy defense of the 2015 Big East Champions, one of the top four teams in the country.

He’s always given the game what it.

With the Wildcats slowly fading from national attention, trickling down to 16 in the polls, searching for an Alpha-Dog, Arcidiacono gave Villanova the go-to scoring threat they needed.

Arcidiacono scored a career-high 27 points, including a scorching 7-14 shooting from beyond the arc to propel the Wildcats to a 95-64 win over the #6-ranked Xavier Musketeers.
