PHILADELPHIA -- Fourth-ranked Villanova will attempt to extend its Big 5 winning streak to 20 straight games with a short trip to Hagan Arena to face archrival Saint Joseph's on Saturday in what is known as the "Holy War."
The Wildcats (7-0), who opened Big 5 play with a 90-62 rout of Penn Wednesday night at the Jake Nevin Field House, will face a banged-up St. Joe's team that is 4-3. The Hawks' last win in this series came on Dec. 17, 2011.
Villanova received 14 points from freshman forward Omari Spellman. After missing all of last season as an academic redshirt by the NCAA, Spellman has slowly improved through the first seven games.
