It was quite the birthday gift for 6-foot-3, 270-pound lineman Billy Hambrook, who received an offer from Villanova on June 5.
Later that month, he announced his verbal commit to the program, doing so on Twitter.
Hambrook, a Class of 2019 prospect from Charlotte Catholic (N.C.), had a number of offers to his name.
He fielded offers from Charleston Southern, Middle Tennessee State, Coastal Carolina, Richmond, William & Mary, and Elon, before deciding to go with ‘Nova.
Hambrook helped an offensive line that paved the way for a dynamic offense that steamrolled its way to an undefeated 16-0 record and a state title, this past year.
