The Villanova Wildcats kick off one of their toughest stretches of the season when they take on the Xavier Musketeers at the Cintas Center on Saturday afternoon. It’s the first of a three-game roadtrip for the ‘Cats.
Villanova destroyed Xavier 79-54 in early January, a game Chris Mack referred to as “the annual Villanova ass-kicking.” Since then, the Musketeers have lost Edmond Sumner for the year but have won four straight games since he injured his knee.
A win will give the ‘Cats a two-game cushion atop the Big East standings, but a loss sends Xavier into a tie at the top.
