Huuuuuuuuump Daaaaaaaay! Writing this last night and reviewing some of our Xavier preview content, I really thought that the game was today. Damn! So close I can taste it! Anyways, it's good to see the media coverage of the Big East's delightful doubleheader showing up just about everywhere. There's a lot of disadvantages to the conference, but they do a really nice job of planning out the kickoff to their season.
The NYE marathon from the past few years was ambitious and perhaps over the top, and downsizing it this year feels just about right. They aren't competing with the CFB Playoff - a suicide mission for sure - and although they maybe got a tad lucky with how good these 4 teams turned out to be, there's no doubt they purposely scheduled what were clearly 4 of the top 5 teams in the conference against each other.
