Happy Tuesday, ‘Nova Nation! The NCAA decided yesterday to clear N.C. State freshman Omer Yurtseven, he who played professionally in Turkey for Fenerbache. This made Big Blue Nation go crazy, as their former prized international recruit Enes Kanter was ruled completely ineligible a few years back.
Yurtseven will serve a 9-game suspension. His restitution to get that? Just pay back the money he earned while playing in Europe.
So naturally this begs the question of what it would take for Omari Spellman to be eligible. Perhaps pay back the tuition and/or taxes his family paid to attend the extra school he didn’t need to play basketball?
