The traditional powers are among the best and highest-ranked teams in the country, which is not a surprise. As it is in that sadistic, ground-acquisition game that ended in Tampa on Monday night, there is no such thing as "parity." It is a myth trotted out by small minds to explain an upset. "Parity" is as mythical as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster or only one more when you're with Bill Raftery. Look at the top 25 and the top 50: They are chock-full of the same teams as always. And as always, if you don't play really hard and really well on the road, you can and will lose.
