The STATS FCS Defensive Player of the Year award will be awarded to the FCS player who a panel of 150 sports information directors, broadcasters, writers and other dignitaries believes to have had the best defensive performance of the season. The organization compiles a watch list in the preseason of players expected to be among the best in the subdivision, and adds to that list as the season progresses.
Today, they added Villanova defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon.
The 6-7, 290-pound senior from Ambler, PA was an all-conference first-teamer last season, and is having an arguably much better season in 2016.
