Happy Tuesday, ‘Nova Nation! Just an FYI here, really. The Fieldhouse - The Athletic’s college basketball venture - is open for business as of yesterday. Some of the best in the sport (and really, across all sports) are signed on to The Athletic, making is a must-read for this season.
I actually think this venture is doomed to fail under the current pay-to-read model (just look at how local media has been doing under that model vs. say, Vox and Buzzfeed), but that’s besides the point. Best of luck, and I know I’ll enjoy being able to read some of my favorites like Seth Davis, Dana O’Neil and Brendan Quinn again.
