The Villanova Wildcats and Wisconsin Badgers are due to meet in Buffalo on Saturday afternoon with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line. Both teams are very experienced when it comes to postseason success, but have taken different paths to get here.
Villanova romped through the regular season but struggled initially before putting Mount St. Mary’s away on Thursday night. The Badgers won an offensive showcase over Virginia Tech in a game where Bronson Koenig seemed to rediscover his shooting stroke.
This feels like a game that should be taking place later in March Madness, but we’re in for a treat in the early rounds instead.
