But here’s the thing: 7-man rotations really aren’t all that uncommon. Duke won it all in 2015 playing just 7 players. And late in the season, almost all coaches starting riding their best guys. Even John Calipari abandoned the famed platoon in 2014 once the NCAA Tournament started.
All of this is to say that I just don’t buy into that line of thinking.
