Villanova senior Josh Hart on Sunday was named a finalist for the James A. Naismith Trophy, recognizing college basketball’s most outstanding men’s player.
Joining him on this year’s list are Frank Mason III (Kansas), Caleb Swanigan (Purdue), and Lonzo Ball (UCLA).
In his final year as a Wildcat, the 6-foot-5 senior led Villanova to its fourth straight Big East regular-season title and second conference-tournament championship in three years.
He was named BIG EAST Player of the Year and Co-Defensive Player earlier this month after averaging 18.7 points, 6.
