Are the long layoffs over yet? After knocking off #1 Kansas at the Wells Fargo Center, the ‘Cats are back after 8 days off to open Big East play at Finneran Pavilion.
The venue - really, the matchup at all - hasn’t been kind to Xavier since they joined the Big East but Travis Steele was able to split last season’s conference series, before falling to ‘Nova in OT of the Big East Tournament semifinals.
The Musketeers are off to a nice start this season as well. They’ve been a fringe Top-25 team for most of the year but have amassed an 11-2 record against a good schedule.
