At one point in time, this renewed Big East rivalry home-and-home looked like a fun piece of scheduling with some upside. Now, it just looks just kind of blah.
Kevin Ollie’s UConn can’t seem to figure it out - last season was clearly derailed by injuries, but following some key transfers this season isn’t faring much better. The Huskies are just 10-8 (3-3) on the season and are coming off a season-low 49 points scored in a big loss to Memphis.
Nostalgia aside, there’s not much standing in the way of the Villanova machine in this one.
