Villanova hosts St. John’s at The Finn tonight in what will surely be seen as an early marker for Big East supremacy. The ‘Cats currently sit alone in first place but the Johnnies boast the best win of the young conference season, a 20-point drubbing of Marquette.
You’ll remember that last year’s Villanova team struggled mightily with St. John’s, even losing at the Wells Fargo Center. Hold on to your butts, because the Red Storm seem to be even better this season with the addition of Mustapha Heron.
Should ‘Nova be able to grab the W, it will be an important victory in their chase to finish on top of the Big East once again.
