After a long week off - and likely one filled with defensive drills - Villanova welcomes Marquette to the Wells Fargo Center. The ‘Cats were undone by some utterly insane (aided by lax defense) shooting at Butler, and the Warriors Golden Eagles boast the top two scorers in Andrew Rowsey and Markus Howard.
Both guards love to hoist it up from long-range, and Howard in particular will come in feeling very good after dropping 52 points this week in an OT win at Providence.
It’s fair to expect a better effort from the Wildcats defense on Saturday night, but we saw first-hand last season how Marquette can exploit teams that switch off for even just a few minutes.
