Three weeks into the season, Villanova Stadium will finally host the home opener for Villanova’s 2017 season. The Wildcats enter the contest at 1-1 after last week’s narrow loss to Temple, while Lafayette hasn’t put up much of a fight in their first two games.
This is the final non-conference game for Villanova before they enter the gauntlet of CAA play, and given Lafayette’s start this is a can’t-lose scenario if they hope to return to the Playoffs in 2017.
