Villanova remains #1 in the latest AP Poll. Although they didn’t have a game this week, they held at the number one spot after a close victory from Michigan State over Oakland didn’t bolster their case enough to overtake ‘Nova. Arizona State jumped over Duke for the #3 ranking, their highest ranking since 1981. Oklahoma entered the rankings at #17 after a convincing victory at Wichita State.
Xavier moved up one spot to #9, Seton Hall dropped 8 spots to #23 after their loss to Rutgers, and Creighton squeaked into the rankings at #25. With four teams in the top 25, the Big East is bolstering their power and recognition as one of the strongest conferences.
