#16 Villanova (9-4, 3-2) will take on #19 Marquette (9-4, 4-1) today in the Big East Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The game will be played at the University of Denver inside Peter Barton Stadium. While Denver is clearly the class of the conference, both 'Nova and Marquette have something to play for with each program looking relatively strong for an at-large bid should they fall this weekend.
Back in early April, Marquette dominated Villanova en route to an 11-3 victory in Milwaukee. After a hot start to the season where the 'Cats rose as high as #5 in the national rankings, the Golden Eagles shut them down with authority.
