With just one point to his name heading into Team Russia’s final Group B game, the Vegas Golden Knights forward broke out offensively.
And it was a potent display from Team Russia who were in control of the contest from the very first drop of the puck.
Kirill Marchenko scored twice in the first period to reward Team Russia’s dominance, with another Vegas Golden Knights prospect in Ivan Morozov tallying an assist on Marchenko’s first goal.
And then came the Pavel Dorofeyev show in the second period. After Grigori Denisenko extended his team’s lead, Dorofeyev stepped up to effectively ice the game for Team Russia.
