WASHINGTON — Alex Tuch broke a 3-3 tie with 5:12 remaining in the third period and the Golden Knights defeated the Washington Capitals 4-3 Sunday at Capital One Arena.
With the win, the Knights improved to 3-1 on the six-game road trip and won their 35th game of the season while sweeping the season series from the Capitals.
Tuch, who hadn’t scored since Jan. 5, was strong on the puck and warded off a couple of Capitals defenders. He jabbed at the puck in the crease and it trickled past Philipp Grubauer. It was Tuch’s 10th of the season.
