There was some concern about the Vegas Golden Knights defensively when the 2025-26 season rolled around. They lost a lot of size with Nicolas Hague being traded and Alex Pietrangelo being out of commission with health issues. Combined with the Carolina Hurricanes being one of the top-scoring teams in the league (4.60 goals per game entering Monday) and you have a recipe for disaster.
