The Nevada Gaming Commission was not asked to remove Golden Knights games from Las Vegas sports books Wednesday as a deadline passed for the NHL to make that request.
Deputy commissioner Bill Daley confirmed the NHL had not made the official request within the 30 days before the Knights’ first regular-season game Oct. 6 at Dallas. “The decision was reached jointly with the Club several weeks ago,” Daley said in a text message.
The Golden Knights are currently +220 underdogs against the Dallas Stars at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas.
“What we’re most interested in is making sure we get equitable treatment with the NFL in terms of how teams are dealt with on the book,” Daley told ESPN.
