GLENDALE, Arizona — James Neal was the hero for the second straight night, as his goal with 1:14 left in overtime lifted the Golden Knights to a 2-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday.
Nate Schmidt scored off a rebound of Neal’s shot from the point with 1:12 remaining in regulation to tie it 1-1, as the Knights pulled goalie Marc-Andre Fleury for an extra attacker with 2:18 left.
Tobias Reider’s first-period goal appeared as if it would stand up for the Coyotes, but the Knights put tremendous pressure on Arizona goalie Antti Raanta and eventually solved him.
