The Golden Knights traded forward Brendan Leipsic to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Swedish defenseman Philip Holm, hours before Monday’s NHL trade deadline.
Leipsic, 23, struggled to produce offensively and was a healthy scratch in four of the past five games. He had two goals and 11 assists in 44 games.
Holm made his NHL debut Friday in Vancouver’s 6-3 loss to the Knights. He posted 11 goals and 18 assists in 42 games with Utica of the American Hockey League.
Holm, 26, signed an entry-level contract with the Canucks in May after playing seven seasons in the Swedish pro league.
