The Golden Knights were held scoreless on seven power-play opportunities and lost 4-2 to the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night before an announced crowd of 15,337 at T-Mobile Arena.
Defensemen Shea Theodore and Colin Miller scored for the Knights, who lost their second straight and dropped to 3-3 in the preseason. The Knights close out the preseason Sunday against San Jose.
Theodore zipped a wrist shot from the point past Colorado goalie Semyon Varlamov at 11:12 of the third period to bring the Knights within 3-2.
But Tyson Jost scored for Colorado with 3:07 remaining to restore the two-goal lead.
