Golden Knights continue to set records with 7-3 win over Flames

The Golden Knights continued to make history, setting an NHL record for points by an expansion franchise as well as home wins for a first-year team as they defeated the Calgary Flames 7-3 Wednesday at T-Mobile Arena.

With their 40th win of the season and 84 points, the Knights surpassed the 1993-94 Florida Panthers, who had 83 points in their first season. They also trumped the 1979-80 Hartford Whalers’ 22 home victories with their 23rd win at T-Mobile. The seven goals also equalled the franchise’s single-game best. The Knights had seven goals against Colorado in a 7-0 shutout win on Oct.
