Reilly Smith is not the only player returning to the Vegas Golden Knights for next season.
According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Golden Knights are expected to re-sign forward Brandon Saad to a deal, keeping him in Vegas for the 2025-26 season.
The terms of the contract have yet to be disclosed.
Saad began the 2024-25 season on the St. Louis Blues in the final year of a four-year contract with a $4.5 million annual cap hit. However, he was placed on waivers in January for mutual contract termination, wanting to find a NHL team to stick with instead of being demoted to the AHL.
