Golden Knights center Paul Stastny could be sidelined for up to two months with a lower-body injury, the team announced Monday.
“Stastny is going to be longer than we thought,” coach Gerard Gallant said.
Stastny was injured late in the third period of the Knights’ 4-2 loss at Buffalo on Oct. 8 when Sabres forward Jack Eichel crashed into his right leg while trying to block Stastny’s shot.
Stastny, who signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract as free agent in July, did not score in the first three games.
This is a developing story.
