Golden Knights bounce Buffalo 4-1 to open homestand

William Karlsson had three points, including his first goal of the season, and Jonathan Marchessault added two goals in the Golden Knights’ 4-1 victory over Buffalo on Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena.

Marc-Andre Fleury finished with 26 saves and was 36.7 seconds away from his second consecutive shutout. He tied Glenn Hall for 10th place on the NHL’s all-time victories list with 407.

Marchessault opened the scoring for the Knights on the power play with 1:01 remaining in the first period. The Knights had been 0-for-16 with the man advantage up to that point.

Cody Eakin added a short-handed goal at 2:08 of the second period, his third goal in four games since he returned from a lower-body injury.
