The Golden Knights have made a big splash just days before training camp is set to open.
General manager George McPhee announced late Sunday night the team had acquired star forward Max Pacioretty from the Montreal Canadiens.
The Canadiens will receive Tomas Tatar, prospect Nick Suzuki and the 2019 second round pick the Knights had acquired from Columbus.
Pacioretty, 29, has 226 goals and 222 assists in 626 career games. He was a first-round pick of the Canadiens in 2007.
