DETROIT — Cody Eakin and Alex Tuch each scored two goals and Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside all 27 shots he faced as the Golden Knights shut out the Detroit Red Wings 4-0 Thursday night at Little Caesars Arena.
The Knights (43-19-5, 91 points) equalled the NHL record for most road victories by an expansion team with 19. The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim won 19 games in their inaugural season in 1993-94. They also improved to 2-1 on their five-game road trip, which continues Saturday in Buffalo and ends Monday in Philadelphia.
For Fleury, it was the 398th win of his career and he improved to 23-9-3 for the season.
