PHILADELPHIA — Ryan Carpenter broke a 2-2 tie with 2:40 remaining in the third period and Marc-Andre Fleury notched his 400th career NHL win as the Golden Knights defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 Monday at the Wells Fargo Center.
Fleury became the 13th goaltender in NHL history to reach the 400-win mark. He made 38 saves in accomplishing that feat.
Carpenter found the puck on his stick in front after linemates Cody Eakin and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare worked to keep the play alive in the Philadelphia zone. Their hard work paid off as Carpenter registered his eighth goal of the year.
