After an improved 4-8 campaign featuring two SEC wins, the Commodores will take the field in front of the public for the first time in nearly four months on Friday at 6 p.m. at Vanderbilt Stadium.
Like last season, the game will pit the offense against the defense with a modified scoring system. The defense won the Black & Gold Game in 2015 handily, 38-21.
The Commodores will be without several key players next season with linebacker Stephen Weatherly declaring for the NFL Draft and tight end Steven Scheu, center Spencer Pulley and defensive lineman Caleb Azubike graduating, but several key younger players will get a chance to shine on Friday night.
