Whew! Tennessee barely holds off winless UMass

A look at all the action from the fourth weekend of the season in the SEC.

Tennessee 17, UMass 13

The host Vols (3-1) avoided a hugely embarrassing loss by holding off the Minutemen (0-5), who have won just nine games since the beginning of the 2012 season. A spirited defensive effort (or perhaps an uninspired offensive effort by the Vols) by UMass limited Tennessee to just 319 yards. Vols RB John Kelly ran for 101 yards and a TD on 25 carries, and QB Quinten Dormady threw a TD pass to Tyler Byrd. UT led 14-6 at halftime over UMass, which finished with 281 yards.
