Week 2 always kind of sucks.
In recent years, it’s felt like college football shoots its wad on opening weekend, and Week 2 is what Week 1 used to be: when half of the Power 5 is playing a walkover and El Assico is the highlight. Okay, El Assico will probably be a good game this year. But uh, it’s weird that that’s perennially the highlight of the second week of the season.
