It’s been more than half a century since Vanderbilt played an opponent from the far west of the country. The Commodores are about to get another one in 2018.
Vanderbilt will play at home against Nevada in its second game of the 2018 season the school confirmed Thursday via Twitter:

The two schools have never previously met.
The September 8 game completes the Commodores’ non-conference schedule for the season.
