Vanderbilt tight end Sam Dobbs has been charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment after landing a drone in a large crowd in downtown Nashville during a Fourth of July celebration on Tuesday night.

The Tennessean reported that Dobbs’ drone flew over a large crowd in the First Avenue and Gay Street area during Nashville’s Let Freedom Sing Celebration, which drew an estimated 240,000 people.

A Vanderbilt spokesperson told the newspaper that Commodores coach Derek Mason will punish Dobbs internally.

Dobbs likely was using the drone to shoot aerial clips of the Fourth of July celebration.
