Vanderbilt picked to finish 7th in SEC Esst by media

The SEC media went through its annual rite of passage: making predictions that will probably be wrong in a few months. In that sense, this can only be a good thing for Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt is picked to finish 7th in the SEC East, receiving 392 votes. Counting up the first place votes, there were 285 votes in this poll, and at least 62 percent of them picked the Commodores to finish last in the East. This is starting to feel like the 1990s: Vanderbilt is picked last and no explanation is needed, just a “because they’re Vanderbilt.”

Georgia was a nearly unanimous pick to win the East, receiving 271 of 285 first-place votes.
