So when Texas A&M went on a 14-0 run late in the second half, well, we all had been here before.
Luckily Vanderbilt had built enough of a cushion that this one was never really in doubt. Texas A&M scored 33 points in the game’s first 31 minutes, and the Commodores held a 55-33 lead with 8:54 left. Even after the Aggies’ 14-0 run, Vanderbilt still had an 8-point lead, and a pair of three-pointers by Joe Toye and Jeff Roberson quickly put a stop to whatever chances Texas A&M had of making a comeback.
Vanderbilt improved to 11-11 on the season, 4-5 in the SEC.
