For the second straight day Thursday, Vanderbilt landed a commitment in its 2018 recruiting class.
Three-star athlete Gavin Schoenwald became the second of the two commitments when he announced on Twitter his decision to commit to the Commodores.
“While the recruiting process has at times been challenging and emotional, I am grateful for the education and rewarding experiences,” Schoenwald wrote. “I want to thank every coach who invested time and believed in me and my abilities to play for their institutions. It has been a dream of mine to play college football for as long as I can remember.
