Vanderbilt defense no-shows 54-21 loss to Ole Miss

Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral completed his first 19 passes of the game — a school record, by the way — and Elijah Moore had 12 catches for 223 yards... in the first half.

In a complete and utter embarrassment for the Vanderbilt defense, the Commodores surrendered 409 yards of total offense before halftime. And things didn’t get any better after the half; in fact, they might have gotten worse. Faced with the deluge of offense from Ole Miss, Derek Mason elected to punt from the Ole Miss 42 (down 41-14) and again on a 4th and 2 at his own 45 (down 48-14.
